Dennis Realty is proud to recognize Paul Sturdgess- Hayes as the 2022 Juanita Dennis Award Recipient.  This achievement speaks volumes to the character, determination, and dedication that Paul demonstrates as a real estate professional but to truly understand the value of receiving this award, you must understand a little bit about the matriarch for whom it is named.  

Juanita Dennis is described and remembered as an achiever, a top producer, and a motivator.  She began in the real estate industry in 1973 when being an aggressive female go-getter wasn't exactly popular but she wasn't deterred.  Her vision, determination, and goal-oriented mindset allowed her to climb the ladder to success in real estate, while setting the standard for those she mentored.  Juanita was a woman who believed in working hard, and it was her commitment and dedication combined with an honest, strong work ethic, that made her an inspiration for those following in her footsteps.  Throughout her career, Juanita maintained an impeccable reputation among her clients, peers, and colleagues.

Carl Stratton, the managing broker of Dennis Realty, says that it is Juanita's persona that he has built the company's foundation upon and believes that her values are the driving force behind the company's success today.  Carl is dedicated to maintaining Juanita's vision for success which includes providing support, leadership, and growth opportunities to his team.  Each year one agent is selected who fervently strives to achieve this elite status and we are excited that Paul has been selected for this honor.

How long have you been Dennis Realty? 

“I feel like I have been with Dennis Realty for a lifetime, but in reality it has only been 1 year and 2 months, but what an incredible experience!”

How do you feel being at Dennis Realty?

“Embarking on a new career, after spending 26 years in health and social care was daunting, however I have been blessed to find a company that has a similar vision to me.  My values are family, trust, ethical practice and a commitment to meet the needs of my customers, and these pillars are the foundations of Dennis Realty & Investment Corp, so high-five, I found the right place to call home!”

How do you feel about receiving the Juanita Dennis Award?

“WOW! That was my initial response! I feel completely privileged and honored to be the recipient of the Juanita Dennis Award, and to follow in the footsteps of a great person, whose compassion and charisma influenced Dennis Realty & Investment Corp.  I feel blessed to be recognized for my commitment and the knowledge that I share some of the great legacy characteristics of such a person, leader and founder.  I hope to harness this energy and the commitment to the award in all that I do.” 

What are your plans for 2023? 

“Grow, Energize and Succeed is my motto for 2023!  I want to be known as the Real Estate Professional that works ethically, honestly and collaboratively with all my clients, and continue to build these foundations to promote the best interests of my clients at all times, whilst assisting them with their real estate journey.  I love to learn, so I want to absorb all opportunities that come throughout the year, and then share these experiences with my colleagues, because teamwork, truly does make the dream work.”

Why do you like being a Real Estate Agent?

“I love being able to serve - I have a servant heart, and real estate enables me to build great relationships and friendships that live not only for today but for the future.
