This October we celebrated with pumpkins, costumes, candy, and socks! Yep, you read that right – SOCKS! This year we partnered with A Kid’s Place Tampa Bay to host a sock drive for children in their care, helping them collect items like socks, underwear, and pajamas. Our agent, Michelle Humphrey, went all out to create a super successful SOCKTOBER and we are blown away by the quantities that were donated. After organizing the donations, we tallied up and let’s just say generosity prevailed. With your help, we collected 173 pairs of socks, 89 pairs of underwear, 5 sets of pajamas, bras, tights & more! As you can imagine, keeping up with clothes and supplies is a challenge and one that doesn’t end. A Kid’s Place provides residential services to children from birth to age 18, who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Their primary focus is to keep sibling groups together in a safe, stable, home-like environment until a more permanent placement can be provided. There are many ways to help, so don’t worry if you missed Socktober! In December, Michelle will be hosting an Angel Tree event where you can donate items to make Christmas special for foster children. If you would like more information about the Angel Tree event, please reach out to Michelle! Check out our website for upcoming events and follow us on Facebook so you don’t miss out on anything! We sincerely appreciate your generosity and are thankful to be able to share in the mission of charity with you.
